The Legends Collide (Part 14)

Perseus felt something whoosh by him. He turned to where it felt it had come from. He glanced at everyone else. They looked brave. Not a hint of fear on any of their faces. Perseus hoped he looked the same.
Suddenly, Perseus heard Achilles yelp. He looked at him and saw him thrashing through the air held by some unseen force. Arthur ran up and slashed wildly in the air. Perseus heard a screech and Achilles dropped to the ground. Perseus became more wary, looking everywhere he thought he heard something.
Thor was the next to be picked up, but he hardly even flinched. All he did was knock his hammer into the air making the thing drop him. Perseus gave him a weird look. There really was something wrong with that guy.
Perseus saw Arthur slash somewhere random in the air...at least it seemed random until Perseus heard another screech. Perseus wondered if the sword gave Arthur a sixth sense or something.
Perseus suddenly got snatched into the air. He tried desperately to get free, but then remembered his weapon. He managed to whack the hilt of his sword against the thing. It dropped him and suddenly became visible.
It was a long reptilian creature with angry red eyes and countless legs. It opened its mouth revealing several teeth, probably all poisonous.
"It seems that Perseus has banged his sword against its head, damaging the part of the brain that allowed it to turn invisible." Said Arthur.
Perseus hardly heard that as he climbed to his feet and attacked the monster. It seemed, though to have very hard scales and his sword bounced off.
"Its scales are impenetrable!" Yelled Perseus.
"We'll see about that." Said Arthur, as he charged the monster, his sword slicing right through its scales.
Mau'i joined him in giving it little cuts all over the place with his lightsaber. The monster screeched and merely seemed annoyed. Mau'i and Arthur ran away as the monster opened its mouth and snapped at them.    Thor flew up and whacked the monster with his hammer, the strength of the blow knocking the monster into the glass. The glass cracked.
   "Oops." Thor said.
"Would you quit doing that!" Yelled Perseus.
The monster got up looking dazed. Suddenly Perseus knew what to do.
   "Thor!" He yelled.
   "What?" Replied Thor.
"We need to get its head, its scales are weak there! I'll distract it, while you hit it."
Thor nodded. Perseus got ready to distract, but then hesitated. Could he do oxygenated water? He decided to just trust his uncle could do it.
"Uncle Poseidon!" Shouted Perseus, "I call upon you to give me power! Give me power to control the waters like you!"
Perseus concentrated and heard a rushing of water. A burst of water came into the room filling it up. The monster turned toward the water and roared. Its roar however, was cut off as Thor slammed his hammer into its head, killing it.
The water came over everyone's heads, but they could still breathe. Everyone stayed there for a while, exhausted. They deserved the rest.
