Myths Collide pt 2 A Great Evil Arises

Hippolyta led the men to her office. She would have killed them already had they not helped re-capture the unicorn. She frowned as she noticed their build. They were both obviously very strong men. She recognized one as the great Hercules. She ordered them to sit in one of the chairs in the office. One of the men accepted, but Hercules did not. She asked him kindly and he obeyed. She knew Hercules as an extremely strong man, and the son of Zeus. He was a demigod, and everyone knew it. She sat herself, and despite knowing one of them, said:

"State your names."
"I'm Hercules," Hercules stated
"Odysseus," the other man said
"Well, men. I must thank you kindly for capturing that unicorn for us. It took us nearly 50 years to capture it the first time. You men just captured it within minutes. I must ask what you would like in return."

Hercules smiled as if he had expected this to happen.
"We only ask that you join us to stop the destruction of people everywhere."
Hippolyta blinked.
"Excuse me?"
"Help us destroy a great evil."
Odysseus seemed stunned as well. Hippolyta calmed down.
"I humbly accept," she responded
"Good," Hercules said, "Now let us retrieve the next member."
"Are you saying that we're leaving right now?"
"Aye."
"Why don't you stay and at least get a good night's rest."
"Ah, I would. Except the last person that did that was never seen again."
"What? How did you know that?"
"Zeus knows all," he replied sarcastically
Hippolyta watched as lightning struck both Hercules and Odysseus at the same time. She tried to dive when it came for her, but it was too fast.

She got hit.

Poseidon sighed as he flipped the channel on his waterproof TV. He had been waiting for Hercules to come back for hours.
What's on? he thought
He flipped through an Opera show, a musical, High School Musical, and Shrek the Musical.
Man is it music day or something? he thought, annoyed at how there were no good channels on. Then he heard rumbling.
Now that's sounds like a good show, he thought, sitting up
When he saw the TV, it didn't look like what he was hearing. He saw a flash of lightning at the surface.
"Ah Zeus! You're ruining my TV time!" he yelled over the commotion
Zeus ignored his comment, and made lightning strike the water.
"OW!" screamed Poseidon, averting his eyes from the light
He slowly looked that way again, and saw a bright figure within the midst of the strike. Two more strikes sounded and Poseidon looked away again. Once it got a bit darker, he could make out two men, and one woman. As the light faded, he saw Hercules' face. He cursed Zeus for sending them there at such a horrible time.

A huge blast of thunder sounded, signifying that Zeus was angry. Poseidon stuck his tongue out. He put it back in once it was obvious that Hercules and the others could see him. He found that one of the others was Odysseus, and the other was the Amazon queen, Hippolyta. Once Odysseus saw Poseidon, his eyes widened and he bowed. Poseidon was surprised. He liked this guy already.
"Wow," he said, "Nobody had done that for me in a long time. In fact, the last person who did it was Hippolyta. And that was just about 35 years ago. I helped her capture a unicorn in return."
Odysseus, looking embarrassed, got back up. Poseidon laughed.
"It's fine, boy. I like it. You couldn't tell when I told you what I did for Hippolyta?"
Odysseus looked up a bit more.
"Now," Poseidon said, "When do we get started?"

The Legends Collide (Part 18)

"So what do we do now?" Asked Perseus.
"We wait." Said Thor, kicking back in one of the chairs.
Perseus shrugged and sat down. About a minute later, a small rectangle thing popped out of the ceiling. Perseus sat up, interested. Suddenly, it started to produce light and images. Perseus jumped about a foot in the air and tried to get as far away from it as possible. It then started to produce sound. Music such as Perseus had never heard before.
"It is a TV, Perseus." Said Thor.
Perseus settled down and started watching. He soon became sucked into the images on the screen. It felt like his eyes were glued to it. He tried to pull them away, but then, someone on the screen did something funny and Perseus laughed.
He finally tore his eyes away and soon realized that something was wrong.
   "Where's Mau'i?" Asked Perseus.
   "Zzz." Was the reply.
Perseus got up, panicked. He started looking around the small room, but couldn't find Mau'i anywhere.
"Thor!" Perseus yelled in Thor's ear.
Thor's reply was to brush him away like a fly. Perseus landed on the floor. He tried to take Thor's hammer. The thing wouldn't budge. Perseus decided to take desperate measures to find Mau'i.
Just then, the door opened. Mau'i walked in with a tray heaped with food. He was in the process of stuffing a little golden rod in his mouth, when he saw Perseus staring at him.
"Did you want a french fry?" He asked.
Perseus just stared. Mau'i started to look uncomfortable.
   "I was hungry...." He mumbled.
Perseus snapped out of his daze.
"Give me that." He said, snatching the french fry from Mau'i's still outstretched hand.
He stuck it in his mouth, then suddenly took the tray from Mau'i and started shoveling french fries in his mouth as fast as he could.
"Now I have to get more." Complained Mau'i.
He walked out of the room again, and Perseus followed him. Mau'i walked over to a place brightly lit up, and went inside. Perseus noted vaguely that there was a bunch of Ms everywhere. Mau'i walked over to a counter with a lady behind it.
"Hi, welcome to Macbeth's, what would you like to order?" Asked the lady.
"I would like a large root beer, some large french fries, and a large meal fit for a king." Said Mau'i.
   He looked at Perseus.
"What would you like?" He asked.
"I'll have what he's having." Perseus said.
The lady smiled and went into a door that was behind the counter. She came back about five minutes later, with trays heaped with food.
"Here are your orders." She said.
They sat at a table and started wolfing the food down.
   "Good, right?" Asked Mau'i.
Perseus nodded, his mouth full of food.
"I love this place." Said Mau'i.

Myths Collide pt 1

The man breathed heavily as he hid from the dragon coming around the corner. He gripped his sword in his hand and waited for the right moment. The dragon looked his direction for a moment, but then kept going. The dragon's urine dripped on the ground in front of him. The man moved away from it. Not because it smelled bad (Although it did), but because it was acidic. Right as the dragon was about to move into place, the man heard the ringing of sword against scales. The dragon screamed a horrific roar as its head rolled in front of the man. The man dropped his sword and covered his ears.

A giant man with a large broadsword came out from behind the pillar next to the man. The giant man looked at the man.
"I'm Hercules" the giant muscular man said
"Odysseus," the man replied
"I've heard of you," Hercules said, "You're a legend."
"No different with you," Odysseus replied stoutly, "News of you even made it to the emperor."
"Really? That's nice to know."
"Aye. I would give much to be in your shoes right now."
Hercules chuckled.
"Let us go get the next member."
"The next member?"
"Aye."
"What are you talking about 'the next member'. It'll take days... no weeks to get out of here alone."
"Not with my father around," Hercules said
"Father!" he yelled, "I summon thy power to transport us!"
Somehow, storm clouds gathered above their heads and struck Hercules.
"NO!" Odysseus screamed through the commotion of the storm
That's when the lightning struck him.
It felt like a huge jolt of power coursed through his body. He was stretched and deformed without pain. He felt the ability to wield this power, but he also felt that the move would be foolish. He still enjoyed it while he could. He threw lightning at a bird above him. The bird screeched briefly, and fell to the ground. Odysseus chuckled.. He felt like screaming "FOR OLYMPUS!"

He decided not to, as the last person who had yelled that had angered Hades. And Hades was not someone you wanted to anger. Odysseus felt himself being lifted into the air. He released lightning, realizing his mistake. He had just gained the ability to control lightning. Hopefully, Zeus had done this on purpose. He could become very angry if someone possessed his same ability. He finally was brought down into a field of grass with a large house in the middle of it. The house was much like Odysseus' palace. He was startled as he looked to his side to see Hercules standing next to him.

Hercules put his hand over Odysseus' mouth before he could yelp.
"This is the Amazon's home. I have brought loose a unicorn to cause chaos in there," he said
"What?" Odysseus replied, "Are you crazy? Why would you want to cause chaos with the..."
Suddenly, a large, white horse, jumped from one of the windows in the tall building. It had a large horn on its head.
"That's the unicorn you released?" Odysseus screamed over the neighing
"Aye," Hercules replied, "A beauty, is it not?"
"How in the blazes did you manage to let it escape without being noticed?"
Hercules smiled and winked.
"I have some tricks up my sleeve."
Odysseus rolled his eyes and focused on the Amazons.
"Are we looking for someone in particular?"
"Aye."
"How will we know which one's her?"
"Oh, you will know, cousin, you will know."
Hercules was right. Suddenly, a beautiful figure jumped from the window that the unicorn had broken. She fended off the unicorn, but even she couldn't manage to re-capture it by herself.
"Is that who we're looking for?" Odysseus whispered
"Aye."
The Amazon that Odysseus confirmed as Hippolyta, fought with grace. She nimbly dodged the unicorn's every move.
"Time for us to move in," Hercules said
"Agreed," Odysseus replied
They quietly stalked the fighters until they got into a good position to tackle the unicorn. Hercules looked to Odysseus and mouthed their countdown. When he got to "one", they tackled the unicorn from the side. Despite it's large size, Odysseus' and Hercules' strength combined made it easy. They held it down until the Amazon's were able to bind it with strong cords with spells on them. It took a while for Hippolyta to actually notice the men that were holding down the giant unicorn.

She looked them over for a while.
"Come with me," she said, "We need to talk."

The Creation of the Avengers Ultimatum pt 1

Bruce sat on his porch, thinking. They had recently gone against all of his enemies, making it impossible for the Avengers to defeat them. Stark had come up with another one of his ideas. He called it The Avengers Ultimatum. The AU was supposed to be a mixture of all the Avengers put together. Stark and Bruce had both recently put the Symbiote carnage back together, so Stark thought he could create something like a Frankenstein's monster. Stark walked up to Bruce reporting that he had failed to create the AU. Bruce thought again.
"Could Loki do it with magic?" he asked Stark
"Well why don't we go see?" Stark replied
The 2 genius' went to the secret society that no one knew the name of, to fetch Loki. When they got in there, the guards patted them down, and let them in. When they got to the containment center, they searched for Loki.

It was hard making your way through a maze like this. On the way, they passed Carnage, and the Abomination. Bruce Shuddered when he passed the Abomination. The Abomination was the only one who hadn't risen up against them. Finally they made it to Loki's holding cell. Loki was standing, obviously prepared for their coming.

"Loki," Bruce said with trouble, "We need you to make a weapon."
Stark explained about the AU.
"I don't know," Loki said, "I kind of need out."
"We'll let you out for the amount of time it takes you to make it."
"Done."

Loki spent weeks trying to make the AU. Eventually, they put him back in his holding cell. Thor had come up with another idea. The next morning, Thor brought them all through the rainbow gate to Asgard. They met Odin at his glorious throne. Bruce bowed, and Stark followed his example.

"Father," Thor said, "The earth is in need of a weapon."
After Thor explained everything, Odin agreed. Bruce watched as a glorious figure, rose before him. First, he saw the other guy's face, then Thor's helmet, then Thor's Hammer, then the Captain's shield, then the captain's suit, then Stark's top, then Stark's eyes.

The creature stood before them majestically. It jumped and landed on the rainbow bridge, activating it. The AU made it's way to earth.

The Legends Collide (Part 17)

"Now," Instructed Nor, "Grab the wheel and turn it in the direction you want to go."
Mau'i crashed into a wall. He grumbled and shifted the gear. That was easy to do, but everything else? Hard! He backed up only to crash into Thor. Thor growled at him, backed up and slammed right back into him. It seemed Mau'i wasn't the only one having trouble with these. Mau'i growled back at Thor, moved forward, turned around, and once again slammed into Thor.
"Oh, it's a fight now, huh?" Asked Thor, "Bring it on."
Thor backed up and slammed into Mau'i again.
"Oohh, I want to join." Said Perseus, when he saw what they were doing. He put his ship in full gear and slammed into Thor. Thor shot him a deadly look. They all backed up, yelled, and slammed into each other.
   "Stop it!" Yelled Nor.
Mau'i looked at Nor, smiled, and slammed his ship into Nor's. Arthur and Achilles just watched. Yoda just laughed.
"Bumper cars they have discovered, Nor." Said Yoda.
Nor turned to Mau'i with an evil smile. Mau'i immediately wiped his off his face. Nor backed up and slammed into Mau'i harder than seemed possible. Mau'i's ship slammed into the wall, and jolted Mau'i out of it. Mau'i got up as fast as he could, and climbed into his ship again. He turned towards Nor again and pressed on the gas so hard, he thought he broke the pedal. He slammed into Nor, and him and his ship went flying through the air, flipping end over end until finally slamming back onto the ground upside down. Nor crawled out of the wreckage of the ship, laughing.
"You did a great job, Thor, Mau'i, and Perseus." He said, "But when you're flying the real ships, try not to crash them."
"Wait, so we passed?" Asked Perseus.
"Yes," Said Nor, "Except for Achilles and Arthur, they're gonna need some more practice, but I'll have them flying in no time."
   "Aw, man." Said Achilles.
"Follow me, Perseus, Mau'i, Thor." Said Yoda.
They followed, and Yoda led them into a room with lots of seats against the walls.
"This is a waiting room." Said Yoda, "You will wait in here while the others are being trained."
Yoda walked out and slammed the door behind him.

The Legends Collide (Part 16)

Arthur and the crew followed Yoda down yet another maze of hallways, finally coming to another room, but this one was much smaller than the other two, and was very unblemished, seeming cleaner than anything Arthur had ever seen.
There was a man standing in the center of the room, right next to a desk, seeming to date from about Arthur's time.
   "Hello, Nor." Said Yoda.
Nor nodded at Yoda, then turned his attention to the men. He seemed to take a special interest in Arthur and his eyes never left him. Arthur began to feel uneasy and looked away. Nor laughed.
"I'm just so happy to see someone from my own time again!" He said.
   Arthur was startled.
"You're from my time?" He asked.
   Nor nodded.
"Well then," Said Arthur, "If you're from my time, then what country do I live in?"
   "Wales." He answered instantly.
"Who is the wizard who helped the king become king?"
   "Merlin."
"And," Arthur said, pausing for effect. "Who is that king?"
   Nor laughed. "You, of course."
Arthur grasped Nor's hand, and shook it, as was the Welsh way of greeting someone. Everyone laughed. Arthur glared at them.
"Why are you laughing, anyways?" He asked.
"Well," Perseus said, snorting with laughter. "I don't really know why, but for some reason, it seems like we should laugh. Maybe, because it seems like a private moment, and we're looking in on it."
   Arthur's face grew red.
"Well," Said Nor, coming to Arthur's rescue, "I suppose you men want to know why you are here."
   Everyone nodded.
"Well," Nor said, pushing a button on the side of the desk. "I am a weapons master, and also I am a master pilot of space craft."
A small side table with weapons on it popped out of the desk.
   "I designed all these."
   "Cool." Said Perseus.
"Very." Said Nor, "Now follow me."
Everyone followed Nor into another room. It had many large vehicles spread out across it and pilots kept them coming and going. Arthur walked up to one, examining it. It definitely looked futuristic, after all, it could fly.
"These are what you'll be learning to fly in." Said Nor, pointing to some small ships in the corner. "You'll get to move on to some bigger ships once you've mastered these."
   "They're tiny." Said Perseus.
"Well, they're training ships." Said Nor, "Can't have you crashing some of our good ships."
"Made for indoors, they are." Said Yoda. "Hop in one, everyone."
Everyone jumped in a ship. Mau'i barely fit. Arthur liked his, it was really comfortable, it blew cold air, and it seemed easy to control. Mau'i didn't look to be doing so well in his. He kept accidentally hitting buttons and going every which way.
Nor climbed in one and started instructing.

The Legends Collide (Part 15)

Achilles was still lying on the ground; but he was in the water. He wondered how he could still breathe. Perseus was even cooler than he had thought, calling upon the power of Poseidon. He must have had a close relationship with his uncle, because the gods did not give power freely at all.
The water started to drain out of the room and Achilles noticed everyone else laying on the ground.
Thor got up, coughing. "I did not know you were a puny weakling, Achilles." He said.
Achilles scowled at him, saying, "I just, for some reason, require more rest than other people. It is the only weakness of mine that I know of."
   "Pfff," Thor said. "As if."
Achilles rolled his eyes. He glanced at everyone else and saw Mau'i getting up. Soon everyone else got up and Achilles was the only one left on the ground. Arthur helped him up.
A door opened, and Yoda came out of it, sipping something out of a cup.
"Did I miss anything?" He asked. Apparently in all the chaos, he had slipped away.
He saw the dead serpent on the ground, frowned, and said: "Oh."
But his frown soon turned into a broad smile.
"Congratulations!" He said. "You've just defeated the offspring of The Moon Faller!"
"Wait, that was the offspring of The Moon Faller?" Asked Thor.
   Yoda nodded.
"But," He said, "The Moon Faller will be much harder to defeat."
Achilles still marveled. That was the offspring of The Moon Faller? And they had defeated it? Well, actually everyone else did, while Achilles laid on his back the whole fight.
   "Oh, dang." Said Perseus.
"Now, you shall learn the ways of the force and how to fly a spaceship if you ever need to. Then, you should be ready to defeat The Moon Faller."
   Achilles could hardly wait.

The Legends Collide (Part 14)

Perseus felt something whoosh by him. He turned to where it felt it had come from. He glanced at everyone else. They looked brave. Not a hint of fear on any of their faces. Perseus hoped he looked the same.
Suddenly, Perseus heard Achilles yelp. He looked at him and saw him thrashing through the air held by some unseen force. Arthur ran up and slashed wildly in the air. Perseus heard a screech and Achilles dropped to the ground. Perseus became more wary, looking everywhere he thought he heard something.
Thor was the next to be picked up, but he hardly even flinched. All he did was knock his hammer into the air making the thing drop him. Perseus gave him a weird look. There really was something wrong with that guy.
Perseus saw Arthur slash somewhere random in the air...at least it seemed random until Perseus heard another screech. Perseus wondered if the sword gave Arthur a sixth sense or something.
Perseus suddenly got snatched into the air. He tried desperately to get free, but then remembered his weapon. He managed to whack the hilt of his sword against the thing. It dropped him and suddenly became visible.
It was a long reptilian creature with angry red eyes and countless legs. It opened its mouth revealing several teeth, probably all poisonous.
"It seems that Perseus has banged his sword against its head, damaging the part of the brain that allowed it to turn invisible." Said Arthur.
Perseus hardly heard that as he climbed to his feet and attacked the monster. It seemed, though to have very hard scales and his sword bounced off.
"Its scales are impenetrable!" Yelled Perseus.
"We'll see about that." Said Arthur, as he charged the monster, his sword slicing right through its scales.
Mau'i joined him in giving it little cuts all over the place with his lightsaber. The monster screeched and merely seemed annoyed. Mau'i and Arthur ran away as the monster opened its mouth and snapped at them.    Thor flew up and whacked the monster with his hammer, the strength of the blow knocking the monster into the glass. The glass cracked.
   "Oops." Thor said.
"Would you quit doing that!" Yelled Perseus.
The monster got up looking dazed. Suddenly Perseus knew what to do.
   "Thor!" He yelled.
   "What?" Replied Thor.
"We need to get its head, its scales are weak there! I'll distract it, while you hit it."
Thor nodded. Perseus got ready to distract, but then hesitated. Could he do oxygenated water? He decided to just trust his uncle could do it.
"Uncle Poseidon!" Shouted Perseus, "I call upon you to give me power! Give me power to control the waters like you!"
Perseus concentrated and heard a rushing of water. A burst of water came into the room filling it up. The monster turned toward the water and roared. Its roar however, was cut off as Thor slammed his hammer into its head, killing it.
The water came over everyone's heads, but they could still breathe. Everyone stayed there for a while, exhausted. They deserved the rest.

The Legends Collide (Part 13)

Thor fought his enemy. As soon as he had seen the man who was in charge of the others he had engaged him in a fight.
By thunder! He thought. He's even better than Freya!
Thor flew into the air with his hammer above his opponent. The man looked up at him and jumped inhuma-nly high to match Thor's height. Thor immediately whacked him back down with his hammer, hearing bones crunch. Thor smiled triumphantly, but then, he saw sparks coming from it.
"Men!" He called. "They are droids. All you have to do is hit them in the back to destroy their battery."
"Really? Good to know." Said Perseus, who was right then fighting a headless enemy.
Thor observed that Mau'i didn't seem to be having any trouble with the droids. All he did was smash them with his bare hands. Arthur was slicing through them like they were hot butter with that sword of his. Thor marveled at it. It must have been powered by an Asgardian element. Achilles was being swarmed by the dr-oids and was taking hits everywhere without being fazed. He was taking down about 10 enemies a second.
Thor realized he had better get back to the fight. He threw his hammer at a big group of enemies and kno-cked them out of the fight. He landed back on the ground swinging at enemies and knocking them to and fro. Thor threw threw his hammer a little too hard and it hit the glass wall. A web of cracks spread across the dome and Thor realized they would quickly run out of air if they didn't defeat this enemy soon. So he held up his hammer and called lightning. Lightning hit his hammer and he directed it at the droids. Since they were made of metal, the lightning jumped between them until it had made each one malfunction. Everyone stared at Thor, breathing heavily.
   "That was amazing!" Said Achilles.
Thor nodded, trying to be modest.
Yoda stepped out from the sidelines.
"You have passed. Thor would now be the best choice for leader, I should think, yes?"
Everyone nodded. Perseus and Arthur regretfully.
"Come!" Said Yoda. "Awaiting, your final test is."
Everyone followed Yoda down white, winding hallways again for another 15 minutes. Perseus didn't com-plain this time, for which Thor was grateful for. Perseus was an annoying little nagger. Yoda led them into another room just like the second, but even bigger. Yoda stood at the sidelines and waited, as if he expected them to do something. Everyone stood quietly, waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, Thor felt somethi-ng. Someone or something, was in the room.

The Legends Collide (Part 12)

Perseus followed Yoda with the rest of the group to what Yoda called, "A real challenge".
"What exactly is this challenge?" Perseus asked for about the fifth time.
"Be patient!" Said Yoda, also about the fifth time.
Perseus huffed. He was not someone to be kept waiting. They had been walking down halls for fifteen minutes. Perseus had a growing suspicion that Yoda did not know his way. After all, this hall looked suspiciously similar to one they had gone through a few minutes ago.
"Are you sure you know where you're going?" Asked Perseus.
"Yes!" Shouted Yoda. "Young people and their need for everything to be quick." He grumbled.
Perseus frowned and was about to retort, when Yoda said something else.
   "Here we are."
Perseus looked up at the huge white doors.
"Seriously, do you people need everything to be white?" Asked Achilles.
Yoda shot a glare at Achilles. Perseus pushed open the doors and stepped into a large black room with little pinpricks of light everywhere. Perseus realized the whole room was made of glass and he was standing in the place where all the stars were. He quickly searched for constellations but found none. These stars were not his own.
"This is the training room on a much larger scale." Said Yoda. "Here you will learn to use teamwork."
   Achilles looked excited.
"I'm great at this stuff!" He said. "I could lead everyone, and teach them battle formations, and...." He trailed off when he saw Perseus staring at him in disapproval.
   "I should lead." Said Perseus.
Thor glared at him. "I should lead." He said.
Arthur stepped up. "Well, I don't mean to offend anyone, but I should probably lead."
Both Perseus and Thor glared at him. Thor pulled out his hammer and Perseus and Arthur pulled out their swords. Before anyone could strike, though Yoda used the force to push Arthur's and Perseus's swords out of their hands. He couldn't seem to push Thor's hammer out of his hand, but he could keep his arm from moving.
"You can't learn teamwork with discord." Said Yoda. "Fighting among yourselves is only going to destroy your friendship. You must learn to fight together. Form up."
Everyone seemed to know what to do. They gathered side by side in a straight line, as their enemies flood-ed in through other entrances. Perseus braced himself as the flow of enemies reached them.

The Legends Collide (Part 11)

Luke walked in the room, smiling at the new recruits.
"Hi, my name's Luke." He said. They seemed to be studying him. He smiled again. He'd give them something to study.
"Today, I'm going to be seeing if you're worthy to defeat The Moonfaller. All you have to do is beat me in a duel."
The one named Perseus snorted as if it would be easy.
"Okay, for the ones that don't have lightsabers, I will switch to a sword to duel with them, except for Thor, I already know I can't cut his hammer."
   Thor grunted in response.
"So, who's going to go first?" Asked Luke.
Arthur raised his hand. Luke reached for a sword as Arthur stepped forward and said, "Um, I don't think your lightsaber thingy can cut my sword."
"Oh, really?" Asked Luke, "Shall we test it?"
Arthur nodded. Foolish man, Luke thought as he swung his lightsaber down, This is a really nice sword.
When Luke's lightsaber hit the sword, it rebounded and a small explosion knocked Luke backwards.
Luke sat on the ground, stunned for a few moments then shook his head, smiled and got up.
"That has got to be the strongest sword I have ever seen and, unfortunately, felt." Luke rubbed his butt.
   Arthur grinned.
"All right now, let's fight!" Luke said.
Arthur and Luke started by circling each other. Arthur reached out with his sword. Luke easily parried. Suddenly, Luke attacked with quick strikes one after the other. Arthur barely blocked all of them. Arthur thrust his sword forward. Luke blocked, but then Arthur used his sword to push Luke's lightsaber up out of his hands. Arthur held his sword against Luke's throat.
"I win." He said, but then Luke held his hand out to his lightsaber and it flew into his hand. He pushed the sword away with the lightsaber and hopped back up. Luke ran at Arthur and they both jumped at the same time. Luke whacked his lightsaber against Arthur's sword and another small explosion knocked them both backwards. Arthur was the first to recover and he once again pushed Luke's lightsaber away.
   "I win again." He said.
   Luke started laughing.
"Where did you learn to sword fight like that?" Asked Luke.
   Arthur shrugged. "At court."
"All right, who's next?" Asked Luke.
Perseus stepped forward, now looking less certain he would beat Luke. Luke grabbed a sword and started circling Perseus, but Perseus went straight to the most demanding part of the fight. He started attacking fast and furiously. He knocked Luke's sword out of his hand and before Luke could use the force on his sword, Perseus broke it.
   "I win." Said Perseus.
Luke nodded. "As you men seem fond of saying."
   Thor stepped forward.
"Nuh uh Thor, you break too many swords and lightsabers."
Thor grumbled but stepped back. Achilles stepped forward.
"I'm the greatest warrior of my time. It'll be hard to beat me." Achilles said. He smiled, as if he had a secret that only he knew.
Achilles suddenly started attacking. Luke parried and struck back.
"Is that the style of fighting in Greece? It seems very efficient." Luke said.
With that distraction he struck at Achilles again. He forgot he wasn't in a real battle and gave Achilles a lethal blow to the neck. Achilles fell down and Luke stared at him in horror. Somehow, Achilles got up and with Luke staring at him in wonder, Achilles struck at him. Luke held up a sword that wasn't there. He looked frantically on the ground and saw tiny metal shards everywhere. His sword had shattered on Achilles's neck. Luke ducked just in time, but lost his balance. Achilles leveled his sword at Luke.
   "I win." He said.
Mau'i stepped forward and Luke grabbed his lightsaber. They started with some basic thrusts at each other, mostly experimental. This'll be easy. Thought Luke. He swung quickly at Mau'i but Mau'i blocked and pushed the lightsaber away. Maybe not as easy as I thought. Luke swung at Mau'i again, but Mau'i had lots of strength on his side and pushed the lightsaber away again easily. Suddenly, Mau'i made a quick thrust towards Luke blocked but realized that it was a feint as Mau'i swung his lightsaber up slicing into Luke's lightsaber handle.
"I uh, beat you." Said Mau'i.
Luke bowed his head in respect.
"Well, you all passed." Said Luke, "Yoda chose wisely, I see."
   Yoda raised an eyebrow.
   Luke sighed. "As always."
Everyone followed Yoda out of the room with Luke staring on in wonder at how good they all were.

The Legends Collide (Part 10)

As they drew closer to the judges, Mau'i began to feel more and more nervous. He had never felt this nervous before.
Their disk stopped a few feet from the judges'.
"Yoda," One of them said, "This is the team you have gathered?"
Yoda nodded. Mau'i acknowledged that he seemed to prefer that over speaking.
"A fine team it is." The judge said with a nod.
Mau'i let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding.
"But," Said the judge, "They will have to be tested to see if they are worthy."
   Yoda nodded again.
   "Come with me." Said Yoda.
Their disk flew back to the entrance. They walked out of the room into another room filled with...nothing. Mau'i was confused.
"Yoda," He said leaning down to the little man, "Why are we in such a bare room to prove ourselves?"
"The training room, this is." He said.
Now Mau'i was even more confused, but his confusion soon turned to surprise, as the walls flipped over to show weapons of all different shapes and sizes, but mostly some small metal cylinders like the one Yoda carried at his side.
The judges stepped into the room and faced them.
"Choose a weapon." Said the lead judge.
"I'll keep my hammer." He said.   Thor slid off of Mau'i's shoulder...Mau'i had almost forgotten he'd been carrying him.
"I'll keep my sword." Said Arthur.
The lead judge nodded. "Do what you want."
Achilles chose a large sword. Mau'i eyed one of the cylinders and selected one.
   "Press the button." Said Yoda.
Mau'i noticed a button on the side of it and pressed it. A long green blade of light popped out. Mau'i looked at it amazed, already knowing that with it, he would definitely pass inspection.

The Legends Collide (Part 9)

Achilles slashed another man to death, before going onto another. He suddenly saw a small group of men standing amidst the Trojans.
Stupid Trojan nobility. He thought as he charged them.
Right as he was swinging his sword down at the strongest looking man, it flew out of his hands.
"Come, Achilles, time to waste we have not." Said a little green man Achilles didn't notice before.
"Who are you?" Asked Achilles, right before they transported.
Achilles looked around him in astonishment. What were those things providing light, and how were they providing light?
The small green man started walking down a hallway.
   "Come!" He said.
Achilles and the small group of men followed, until they came into a grand room filled with hovering disks each big enough to fit a small group of people.
"You are being brought before the senate to be tested." mumbled the small green man to the others. "On your best behavior you must be."
He finally took notice of Achilles and swept his gaze up and down him.
"I suppose you still don't know why you are here do you?" He asked.
   Achilles shook his head.
"I am Yoda, you will soon know the rest."
Yoda closed his eyes. Suddenly Achilles knew the whole story and why he was there.
"How did you do that?" He asked.
"The force is strong with me." Yoda answered.
"Hey, you still owe us an explanation about that force thingy you do." Said Perseus--Yoda had also made Achilles know all the people in the crew's names.
Yoda sighed. "The force, is a power that is only possessed by the Jedi and the Sith."
Perseus frowned. "Now you just made me even more confused."
Yoda rolled his eyes, then said, "I will tell you later."
Perseus grumbled something about always later, and he'll show him "Later".
"Well," said Achilles, trying to start off good with the other guys, "My name's Achilles and I am a great warrior of my time. Who are you guys? I mean, other than your names."
Mau'i started first. "I am a god and I fished up the islands of Hawa'ii."
   Achilles whistled.
Perseus was next. "I'm Perseus and I killed Medusa, which you guys probably don't even know who that is."
"Wait, you mean, The Perseus?" Achilles asked, "The Perseus who killed all the gorgons and saved the princess from the sea monster?"
Perseus looked astonished. "Yeah, that's me." He said, "Except Mau'i here killed the last and most ruthless sister of Medusa."
   Mau'i grunted in response.
Achilles couldn't believe he was in the presence of the legendary Perseus. He wanted to say something cool, but he was afraid it would sound dumb. He pulled his gaze from Perseus onto Arthur.
"Well," Achilles said critically, looking Arthur up and down, "What can you do?"
Arthur returned his gaze calmly, not looking fazed in the least. "I am favored by Merlin, the great wizard and I am a king."
Achilles nodded, then turned to Thor.
"So, Thor." He said, "What can you--oh,"
Thor was still slung over Mau'i's shoulder, out cold.
"Here we go." Said Yoda, as their disk started to float up toward the center of the room, toward the judges.
Achilles stood up straight and tall. Already eager to pass inspection.

The Legends Collide (Part 8)

When they made it back to the golden sphere, the man in golden armor transported them without Yoda even having to use the force.
Suddenly Yoda felt a great disturbance in the force. Or...no, that was just his staticy earpiece. Someone was trying to call him. He answered.
   "Yoda speaking."
He glanced at the others, who were too busy staring at the futuristic place around them, to notice him seemingly speaking to nobody.
"Hello, Yoda this is Luke." Said Luke on the other line, "We have found someone else that seems to have enough potential for the mission."
Yoda sighed. Someone else to get. He really was getting too old for this.
"His name? What is it?" He asked.
   "Achilles." Replied Luke.
Yoda sighed again and said, "Come on, boys. We have another new recruit to get."
"But I thought you said Thor was the last one?" Said Arthur.
"I did, but Luke has just informed me that someone else has the potential to join us."
Perseus looked confused. "Who's Luke?" He asked.
"He is a jedi knight that I trained. Well, mostly. Did the rest, Obi-Wan Kenobi did."
Perseus looked confused again. "Who's Obi-Wan Kenobi?"
Yoda sighed. "We are not getting anywhere with this."
   "Apparently not." Said Perseus.
"Come. Let us go get the new recruit." Said Yoda.
"Oh, man!" Said Arthur, "I was just getting used to this place."
They transported to a world of blood and death and destruction. The middle of the Trojan War.

The Legends Collide (Part 7)

Arthur studied the big man who had entered the room. He looked like he would be a real challenge in a fight, with those big muscles and that bulky hammer of his.
"It's really happened?" Asked the man.
   Yoda nodded gravely.
The man finally seemed to notice the men standing around Yoda. He looked at each one of them in turn. When he looked at Arthur, Arthur almost cringed under that disapproving gaze. But I can't show weakness or else everyone else will think I am weak and will lose confidence. So Arthur stood up tall until the man's gaze shifted to Perseus.
   Arthur sighed quietly.
"A fine crew you have gathered, Yoda." Said the man.
"A fine crew, indeed it is." Yoda said, "Crew, I would like to introduce to you to Thor."
   "Hi, Thor." Said Perseus.
Thor looked sharply at Perseus, who didn't look in the least fazed.
Thor looked back at Yoda. "Well," He said, "I want to see some abilities."
Arthur looked at Perseus, who looked at Mau'i, who looked at Yoda.
"Well," Said Yoda to Mau'i, "You're abilities he must know."
"Well, how must I show my abilities?" Asked Mau'i.
Thor laughed. A deep rich contagious laugh.
"Well fight me of course." He said.
Mau'i nodded and got into a fighting position.
"You're not going to get a weapon?" Asked Thor.
   Mau'i shook his head.
Arthur looked on with excitement. This was going to be interesting.
Thor charged at Mau'i and swung his hammer. Mau'i simply sidestepped and conked him on the head with his fist. Thor fell to the ground unconscious.
   Arthur broke out laughing.
Odin sighed. "My son is sometimes reckless like that."
"Mau'i," Yoda said, "Please pick up Thor and bring him with us."
Thor suddenly got up looking woozy. "That, is a good ability." He said before collapsing again.
   Arthur burst out laughing again.
Mau'i hefted Thor onto his shoulder and everyone walked out of the palace.

The Legends Collide (Part 6)

Thor swung his hammer at Freya but she ducked just in time.
By my hammer, she's good. He thought.
She swung her sword at his face but he broke it with his hammer. She pulled another sword out of a sheath on her back.
Seriously, Thought Thor, How many swords does she keep on her person at all times? That's the seventh one I've broken so far.
While Thor was sidetracked thinking about this, Freya swung at him again. Thor parried just in time and knocked the sword away with his hammer. Before she could pull out another sword Thor knocked her down and placed his hammer on her chest.
"Once again you are at my mercy." He said.
Freya broke into a grin. "Ok get this thing off of me now, Thor."
   Thor grinned too.
"Good practice eh?" He asked, as he hefted his hammer on his shoulder.
Freya sighed. "Let's go chalk up my 150th defeat in a row."
Suddenly there came an urgent knock at the door.
   "Come in!" Yelled Thor.
A nervous servant came in breathing hard.
"Master Thor, sir!" he said, "Your father wants to see you, he says the situation is dire."
Thor immediately was alert. He ran down the hall to the throne room.
Once he got there and saw Yoda with a group of men, he knew that the situation indeed was dire.
"Hello, Thor." said Yoda, "Your help we need."

The Legends Collide (Part 5)

Everyone appeared in a flash of light in a golden room shaped like a sphere, with a door leading out to a bridge that shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow.
A man in golden armor noticed them and raised his sword warily.
"Who are you? How did you get here?" He asked.
   Yoda cleared his throat.
"Come for Thor we have." he said.
   The man growled.
"I will not let you have him."
Yoda stepped forward and waved his hand right in front of the man's face in a three fingered gesture, saying, "Let us pass you will."
The man's eyes glazed over and he dropped his sword.
"I will let you pass." He repeated.
   Mau'i found that amazing.
"How did you do that?" He asked, as they walked straight past the man.
"The force is strong with me." he replied.
   Perseus looked confused.
   "What's the force?" he asked.
"Tell you later I will. We must get Thor now."
No one asked any more questions as they walked to the majestic castle in the distance.
Mau'i looked over the side of the rainbow bridge and saw a straight drop to outer space. The glow coming from the stars down there was blinding, and Mau'i had to avert his eyes almost immediately.
They finally reached the doors of the castle and finally saw its fullest beauty. It was completely white--probably made from pearl-- and had huge doors that were intricately carved to look like two huge men with tons of plant growth around them. The door also had a bustling city carved behind the men, which looked like it was a barbarian city.
Two guards stood at the doors and Yoda did the same thing to them as he had done to the man in golden armor. Mau'i still thought that was amazing.
They walked through the castle to the throne room. Yoda slammed the doors open and strode right up to the throne. A man with an eye patch sat there and seemed startled. Then his expression hardened and he said, "Who are you? What are you do--"
Yoda cut him off, saying, "Relax old friend, me it is."
   "Yoda?" The man asked, incredulous.
   Yoda nodded.
The man broke into a grin.
"You survived? I was sure Vader had gotten you."
"Come for Thor we have, Odin." Yoda said.
Odin suddenly grew solemn. "It's happening, isn't it?"
Yoda nodded gravely. Mau'i wished he didn't have to know about this or be a part of it. He wished he could be back on his nice warm island he'd fished up out of the sea. He wished, he wished. But it was too late. It was already happening.

The Legends Collide (Part 4)

"500 years ago a creature of darkness was born, and this creature was made by the most evil people in the universe." Perseus tentatively raised a hand.
   "Yes, Perseus?" Yoda asked.
"You know, I've kind of come to the conclusion that we are all from different times, so 500 years ago from which of our times?"
"This time. Now please no more interruptions. Now where was I? Oh, yes, anyways it was created from the most evil people in the universe, so it had the most evil soul ever. It was called The Moon Faller. So evil, it devoured its creators as soon as it was created. There are many stories claiming to know what it looks like, yet they all contradict each other, so we don't have any real idea what it looks like. We have monitored this beast and it has devoured more than a few spies we have sent. The beast can turn itself invisible and has always been invisible when we monitor it. The ones who have been lucky enough--or should I say, unlucky enough--to actually see it, were devoured right after they reported they had seen it."
   Everyone grew quiet.
"Now I think I see why all of this is happening,"said Arthur "You're recruiting us so we can defeat this beast."
   Yoda silently nodded.
"Well, how are we supposed to defeat this creature?" asked Perseus "I mean, most of us are ordinary people. Except for me, of course."
"I'm not ordinary either." said Arthur.
   "Neither me." said Mau'i.
"That is exactly why we are recruiting you." said Yoda, "You are the greatest heroes of all time, told about as legends by generations after your own time."
Perseus stood up. "My mind is made. I will go and fight this beast." He looked at the others. "Will you join me?"
Mau'i stood up. "Friend, I will fight this beast with you."
Arthur stood up. "It seems like I have no choice but to help you guys."
Yoda stood up. "Good! One more person to recruit we have. Very reckless he is and he probably wouldn't have listened through the whole story without destroying something. He also calls everyone...what was it? Oh, yes, the word 'Puny' he seems to like. That is why we have not recruited him yet."
Yoda started walking into the forest. Oh, that hurt. He was getting too old for adventures, but he just couldn't resist.
He turned and saw everyone still standing and staring at him.
"Come! The last recruit we must get."
This time, everyone followed him and they disappeared into the trees.

The Legends Collide (Part 3)

Perseus trudged along in the mud. They seemed to have transported again except this time with the man who called himself king Arthur.
The place they transported to was hot and humid and appeared to be--as Mau'i said-- a swamp.
Frogs and annoying buzzing bugs swarmed around everywhere. One of the frogs hopped on Mau'i's shoulder. He just brushed it off and continued walking.
Perseus grew very thirsty as they walked along, they couldn't seem to find a way out of the swamp.
   "Mau'i," Perseus croaked--almost like a frog.
   "Yes?" said Mau'i.
"How long usually, are these swamps?"
Mau'i seemed to think and then said, "I don't know."
Perseus groaned inwardly, he was desperately in need of water.
Suddenly, he saw Arthur taking a flask from his pack. Perseus was so thirsty that he snatched it from him and drank most of it down.
   "Hey!" Arthur complained.
Perseus shot Arthur a glare. "Why didn't you tell us you had that the whole time?"
"I didn't know you were thirsty!" said Arthur.
Perseus paused, Arthur made a good point. Now he knew why everyone would know him far and wide.
It seemed to be getting cooler by the minute, which Perseus was grateful for.
Soon the croaking and buzzing sounds were replaced by creepy animal sounds.
"This," said Mau'i "is unlike any swamp I have ever seen."
Perseus had to agree--even though this was the only swamp he'd been in.
Suddenly they saw a small dwelling that looked like it was made out of dried mud, with maniacal old man laughter coming from inside.
Perseus saw someone coming out of the dwelling. It seemed to be a small green...man? He appeared to be the source of the laughter they had heard.
Arthur drew his sword, but it seemed to fly out of his hands.
"No need for that, Arthur." said the old man "Old Yoda, you would not hurt, would you? Ready to go with you I am."
   Everyone stared at him blankly.
   "Foresaw you coming, I did."
   More blank stares.
"Do not you know what you have to do?"
   "Um, no?" said Perseus
Yoda sighed. "While I tell you the story sit down you must."
Everyone gathered round Yoda as he began the story.

The Legends Collide (Part 2)

Arthur ran through the underbrush. He didn't know where he was and he was freaking out.
He stumbled into a clearing and tripped onto his face. He looked up to see two men staring at him.
"Hello," said Arthur "I seem to be lost, as I cannot find my way to my castle."
One of the men raised an eyebrow at him.
"Castle did you say?" he asked.
"Yes my castle, you see I am king Arthur, surely you've heard of me?"
Both men slowly shook their heads. That's strange, he thought, everyone's heard of king Arthur.
"Where do you hail from?" asked Arthur.
The man who spoke before stepped forward and cleared his throat.
"Actually, I don't know exactly how we got here. It seemed like we were in one place, and then we were suddenly here."
"Your friend, he's not much of a speaker, is he?"
"Well, I wouldn't say friends exactly, we just barely met each other."
Now it was Arthur's turn to raise an eyebrow.
"Where are you from?" asked Arthur.
  "Greece." said the one man.
  "Hawa'ii." said the other.
  "What are your names?"
"I'm Perseus and this is Mau'i." said Perseus.
  "Where is Greece?" asked Arthur.
  Perseus looked confused.
  "Everyone knows where Greece is."
  "Well now we're even."
  Mau'i finally spoke.
  "This does not seem right."
  Perseus nodded.
"Once again Mau'i, you are right."

The Legends Collide

Perseus quickly but carefully made his way around the pillar. He heard hissing nearby and braced himself for a strike. Suddenly he heard a horrible wail followed by a thump. He cautiously came out from behind the pillar and beheld a man that looked as if he was in his late 20's. He had dark skin, huge muscles, and was standing over the dead body of a gorgon. He glanced at Perseus and suddenly ran away.
"Wait!" called Perseus, chasing after him,"Who are you?"
The man stopped, breathing heavily. Perseus caught up to him, but his breath hadn't. Once again Perseus asked, "Who are you?"
The man seemed to contemplate whether or not to tell him, then finally told him, "Mau'i, my name is Mau'i."
Perseus couldn't place his accent. Was he from the islands he spotted as he was flying across the ocean with those shoes?
"I'm Perseus," He said, "Pleased to meet you."
"This does not seem right." said Mau'i.
For some reason Perseus could sense that too.

                                               To Be Continued...
