Myths Collide pt 1

The man breathed heavily as he hid from the dragon coming around the corner. He gripped his sword in his hand and waited for the right moment. The dragon looked his direction for a moment, but then kept going. The dragon's urine dripped on the ground in front of him. The man moved away from it. Not because it smelled bad (Although it did), but because it was acidic. Right as the dragon was about to move into place, the man heard the ringing of sword against scales. The dragon screamed a horrific roar as its head rolled in front of the man. The man dropped his sword and covered his ears.

A giant man with a large broadsword came out from behind the pillar next to the man. The giant man looked at the man.
"I'm Hercules" the giant muscular man said
"Odysseus," the man replied
"I've heard of you," Hercules said, "You're a legend."
"No different with you," Odysseus replied stoutly, "News of you even made it to the emperor."
"Really? That's nice to know."
"Aye. I would give much to be in your shoes right now."
Hercules chuckled.
"Let us go get the next member."
"The next member?"
"Aye."
"What are you talking about 'the next member'. It'll take days... no weeks to get out of here alone."
"Not with my father around," Hercules said
"Father!" he yelled, "I summon thy power to transport us!"
Somehow, storm clouds gathered above their heads and struck Hercules.
"NO!" Odysseus screamed through the commotion of the storm
That's when the lightning struck him.
It felt like a huge jolt of power coursed through his body. He was stretched and deformed without pain. He felt the ability to wield this power, but he also felt that the move would be foolish. He still enjoyed it while he could. He threw lightning at a bird above him. The bird screeched briefly, and fell to the ground. Odysseus chuckled.. He felt like screaming "FOR OLYMPUS!"

He decided not to, as the last person who had yelled that had angered Hades. And Hades was not someone you wanted to anger. Odysseus felt himself being lifted into the air. He released lightning, realizing his mistake. He had just gained the ability to control lightning. Hopefully, Zeus had done this on purpose. He could become very angry if someone possessed his same ability. He finally was brought down into a field of grass with a large house in the middle of it. The house was much like Odysseus' palace. He was startled as he looked to his side to see Hercules standing next to him.

Hercules put his hand over Odysseus' mouth before he could yelp.
"This is the Amazon's home. I have brought loose a unicorn to cause chaos in there," he said
"What?" Odysseus replied, "Are you crazy? Why would you want to cause chaos with the..."
Suddenly, a large, white horse, jumped from one of the windows in the tall building. It had a large horn on its head.
"That's the unicorn you released?" Odysseus screamed over the neighing
"Aye," Hercules replied, "A beauty, is it not?"
"How in the blazes did you manage to let it escape without being noticed?"
Hercules smiled and winked.
"I have some tricks up my sleeve."
Odysseus rolled his eyes and focused on the Amazons.
"Are we looking for someone in particular?"
"Aye."
"How will we know which one's her?"
"Oh, you will know, cousin, you will know."
Hercules was right. Suddenly, a beautiful figure jumped from the window that the unicorn had broken. She fended off the unicorn, but even she couldn't manage to re-capture it by herself.
"Is that who we're looking for?" Odysseus whispered
"Aye."
The Amazon that Odysseus confirmed as Hippolyta, fought with grace. She nimbly dodged the unicorn's every move.
"Time for us to move in," Hercules said
"Agreed," Odysseus replied
They quietly stalked the fighters until they got into a good position to tackle the unicorn. Hercules looked to Odysseus and mouthed their countdown. When he got to "one", they tackled the unicorn from the side. Despite it's large size, Odysseus' and Hercules' strength combined made it easy. They held it down until the Amazon's were able to bind it with strong cords with spells on them. It took a while for Hippolyta to actually notice the men that were holding down the giant unicorn.

She looked them over for a while.
"Come with me," she said, "We need to talk."
